Goin’ Back to My Roots
Today’s Peach Fritters recipe is brought to you by I Am Baker! Sometimes you have to take a break from your own projects and find a little inspiration from those around you. Recipe development can be a stressful and tiring process, so it’s nice to chill out for a second and follow someone else’s recipes.
Before I started my blog, I would bookmark all of my favorite food bloggers’ websites and then go through them all every few months or so to save recipes I eventually wanted to try. I then categorized all of these recipes into different google folders and documents. This acted as an encyclopedia of recipes for me to go through whenever my family hosted parties and gatherings. I still do this every now and then, but now that I have my own blog, I find that I don’t have as much time to follow other people’s recipes.
So, today, I thought I’d go back to my roots and follow another blogger’s recipe. This is also a great way for me to introduce you to some of my favorite bloggers who I look to for inspiration. As I already mentioned, this post is brought to you by I Am Baker. I don’t think you can get away with not making any peach recipes during the summer, so I decided to follow her Peach Fritters Recipe!
Fantastic Freaking Fritters
Fritters are so easy to make and can be combined with most fruits. The fried batter is perfectly balanced with the sweet juicy fruit. And one of the best parts of a fritter, in my opinion, are the little scraggly bits that stick out because they add an extra crispy crunch. The messier the scoop, the better the fritter.
Back in college, I was a donut fanatic because there were 2 artisanal donut shops by my school. Now, I’ve kind of taken a back seat when it comes to donuts. I still love them but I don’t eat them as often as I used to. However, these peach fritters reminded me of why the heck I love donuts so much. I know fritters aren’t really donuts but its fried dough with icing. Tomato tomahto.
These Peach Fritters were a great little treat to indulge in so I highly recommend trying them! I will leave a link to the recipe right here! And while you’re at it, check out her blog for more delicious baking recipes! Thanks for tuning in, and I’ll be back with a bombdotcom Olives & Lamb recipe next week!
