Go-to Favorite
We’re jumping right into today’s recipe, which is a Healthy Turkey Chili! This recipe is literally one of my favorite go-to recipes because it’s quick, easy, and delicious! If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that I’m a big fan of meal prepping. This chili is a perfect meal prep meal because it’s a one-pot recipe that’s filled with nutritious ingredients!
I’m not going to lie, meal prepping is not my favorite thing to do on a Sunday morning. BUT I know that if I don’t, my week is going to be a mess. You guys have no idea how many times this Healthy Turkey Chili recipe has saved my a$$. It’d perfect if you’re a lazy meal-prepper, like me, and don’t want to buy a bunch of groceries. This dish is so good considering how fast and easily it comes together. AND it’s one of those dishes that tastes even better in the days after you make it because all the flavors have had time to meld together!
I’m A Drummer Now
Quick little tangent: I’m a drummer now! Kidding but not really. I recently decided that I want to teach myself how to play the drums! I’ve always appreciated the drums the most, out of all the musical instruments, because they’re the glue that holds everything together and yet it’s so under-appreciated! I also have always said that in my next life I would want to be a drummer. Despite having these thoughts, I never really had the idea to actually start learning because it’s a lot of commitment. But one day, I decided “F*ck it! I’m going to teach myself how to play the drums.”
By the time you read this post, my drum kit will have arrived and I’m HYPED! I’ve been trying to find a hobby that I genuinely love for the longest time but couldn’t think of anything. Ever since I made this decision, my life has been consumed by all things drumming but in the best way possible. I can’t even remember a time when I was as excited about something as this! Definitely follow me on Instagram because I’ll be posting updates on my drumming!
Just Do It
Picking up drumming has taught me that if you really want something, go for it. Just do it. There was nothing stopping me from learning how to drum in all the time before now. It was such a wild idea that it seemed unrealistic, so I never thought to do it. But I’m so freaking happy I finally did it because drumming has brought me so much joy! Not that I was unhappy before, but it’s brought an additional source of excitement to my life. And it’s crazy to think that if I never had that moment, I would be missing out on everything I’m feeling right now. So if you want something, go get it. It doesn’t matter how crazy or unexpected it may be. As cheesy as it is, ya gotta follow your dreams!
Anyway, let me know if you make this Healthy Turkey Chili! I hope it becomes a staple in your meal prep repertoire! Thanks for joining me today and I’ll talk to you in my next post!
