Work Hard Eat Well
Listen, we’re all busy bees doing our own thing. School is in session and we’re workin’ hard in the office. The last thing you want to do when you come home is make dinner. I get it. And that is why I’m sharing this Quick and Easy Ginger and Scallion Tilapia Recipe with you!
My mom actually created and inspired this recipe. So thank you, Mother! Besides myself, my dad is the only other person in my family that cooks. We’re breaking gender roles people! However, when my mom did cook, it would often be this Ginger and Scallion Tilapia Recipe. It is so simple, but it has come to be one of my favorite dishes. We usually serve this with rice and sautéed bok choy. Sometimes, the simplest meals are the best meals.
The Superior Sweet Soy Sauce
I know that regular soy sauce is awesome, but sweet soy sauce is my homegirl. This might be due to the fact that I have more of a sweet tooth, but for those of you who didn’t know that sweet soy sauce existed, I would encourage you to buy a bottle of it and use it for everything you eat.
The sweetness of it compliments the flavors of the ginger and scallion so well. You get a little heat from the ginger, which contrasts (in a good way) the sweetness of the sweet soy sauce, and the scallion gives off a garlicky flavor.
Dinner is Served!
If you find yourself scrambling to make yourself dinner after a long day of work, bookmark this Ginger and Scallion Tilapia Recipe! Even though it’s so simple, it tastes amazing, and can easily become one of your go-to meals. You can even complete this recipe in the Lam Style, serving it with rice and sautéed bok choy! YUM! As always, thanks for reading, and I’ll talk to you in my next post!
