Cheesy Garlic Bread

A quick and easy recipe for the cheesiest garlic bread AKA one of the best side dishes you could have!

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) French Loaf Bread
  • ½ cup Fresh Parsley Leaves (minced)
  • 8 Garlic Cloves (minced)
  • 1 (4oz) Stick Unsalted Butter (at room temperature)
  • ¼ cup Olive Oil
  • ½ tbsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • ½ tbsp Onion Powder
  • ¾ tsp Kosher Salt
  • ½ tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 cups Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400˚F and line a baking sheet with foil.
  • Add the parsley and garlic into a food processor. Pulse into the ingredients are finely chopped. Add it into a bowl along with the unsalted butter, olive oil, dried basil, lemon zest, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until well combined
  • Cut the french loaf in half, lengthwise. Place each half onto the prepared baking sheet with the cut side facing up. Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture onto each loaf, ensuring they are well coated. Sandwich the halves back together and fully wrap the loaf in foil. Bake it in the oven on the baking sheet for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the garlic bread from the oven, then carefully unwrap the foil. Place each half onto the baking sheet, cut side up. In a large bowl, toss the mozzarella and parmesan together until evenly combined. Then sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly on top of each bread half.
  • Bake it in the oven for 10 minutes until the cheese has melted. Then switch the oven setting to broil and cook for 3-4 minutes until bubbling and sightly golden brown. Remove the garlic bread from the oven and cut into pieces. Enjoy!
